Julian Brandt set to start working with new Borussia Dortmund boss Nuri Sahin after club part ways with Edin Terzic.

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Brandt, 28, has admitted he was surprised the club parted ways with Edin Terzic, but he is open to a fresh start with new boss Nuri Sahin, Ufabet Germany reported on Sunday.
Brandt played some of his best football for Borussia Dortmund under Terzic before the club decided to part ways with the 41-year-old after last season and appointed Šahin as their new manager, with the 28-year-old midfielder admitting he was surprised by what had happened.
‘I was surprised,’ Brandt said. ‘But I respect the decision and I’m really looking forward to working with Nouri. I think he’s very respectable.’
Brandt is entering his fifth year as a BVB player and has now taken the No.10 shirt vacated by Jadon Sancho following the England winger’s return to Manchester United this summer, with the 28-year-old keen to take on more responsibility in the upcoming campaign.
‘You learn over the years (how to lead). I still see it as an opportunity to lead. I see it as my responsibility. Nuri Şahin expects that from me as well. I try my best. I’ve always done that and I’m going to do it again this season.’
